Characteristics into figurines

This morning in Amanda and Vibeke Lesson we first of started the lesson
with writing characteristics about amanda and then drawed up a figurine of amanda on the
board to match the characteristics together the whole class as a team.

later on in that lesson we wrote characteristics about each other in the class into our sketch books, i had to work with terry and write characteristics about him which was that is

• smiley
• talented
• a dancer
• quiet
• sociable
• never upset
• and loves vampires.

after i that i use these characteristics to draw a figurine of terry which is in my sketch book.

maria wrote some characteristics about me which i added a few of my own to it and now use is to sketch a figurine of me.

This morning with amanda we firstly started off drawing ideas of our firgurines
in our sketch books.
Then we created our ideas out of plastcine, then took a photo of it then printed it out
and stuck it into our sketch books then evaluated our creation.

in the lesson on the 19th november we had a lady called wendy flicker who was a designer come and talk to us. she talked to us about different designing subjects such as

• aesthetic model
• Functional model
• preproduction model/ production model.

after that later on we now made ideas of our figurine using a product named DOUGHLIGHT.

Target Audience

In class we looked at the Ron Mueuck Sculptures
did some reseacrch and look at some pictures of the
sculptures.
We look at the target audience for the sculptures
which where people like

• Older people
• Classy People
• Rich Posh People
• Basically anyone thats interested
• Tourist
• Middle Class people
• Other Artist
• And Schools.

Ron Mueck Sculptures Can Be Mostly Found in Art Galleries Or Up West places Like Westminister, Trafalga Square , Buckingham palace etc places like these attract the media and a big crowd of people interested in these type of sculptures.

Also We looked at finding nemo And its Target Audience which is

• Kids All Ages/Adults
• International Worldwide Audience.

The Fish Models Which were not for the kids where for the

• Graphic Designers
• Directors
• Producers
• animators
• editors
• production designers

by they where mostly for the Graphic designers and the animators so they could use them in the making of the film finding nemo.

The Film Nightmare Before Christmas

• the story was abit complex for younger children
• it was a musical
• the concept of the characters was abit scary and dark things related to death, vampiers etc. whcih as thats not the respond children have ther have bright+ vibrant colours because thats what they are use to.

The Nightmare Before Christmas

in this morning lesson with amanda we watched the making of a film called
the nightmare before christmas and took down some notes.

• the film was had taken 10 years to be designed and 3 years to be filmed.
• they were 200 puppets sculptures which was made out of oil based cly,form and rubber.
• there was over a 100 people in the team with different rolls such as storyboard supervisor, set designer, director of photograhpy and armature engineer etc.
• jack the main character in the film had up to 400 different sculpture heads.
• 60 indiviual characters.

we started a new unit in college on the 11th of november 2008
the project is to create a tribe of collectable firgurine based on each class member.
the first thing we going to do is research into firgurine and there creaters
lookin at artist and the methods and techniques that they use
